Learning at New Garden
Our school provides a comprehensive education program for grades R to 9, with a focus on nurturing and supporting our students throughout their student-lives.
Our experienced and dedicated teachers work hard to create a safe and secure environment for learning, following the CAPS curriculum. We've expanded our language program to include IsiXhosa while continuing with the English and Afrikaans CAPS curriculum.
Our students have access to a variety of resources, including a computer lab for coding and computer literacy, an art room to explore and be creative, and an extensive library catering to all age-groups.

The Foundation Phase
Grades R to 3
Our Foundation Phase classes (Grade R to 3) provide a solid educational foundation for young learners.
Our qualified and caring teachers create a nurturing environment that grows, supports and encourages each child's love of learning.
As a trilingual school (offering English, Afrikaans and IsiXhosa), we foster linguistic diversity, cultural exchange, and a deep appreciation for different perspectives.
The Intermediate Phase
Grades 4 to 6
Our Grades 4 to 6 Intermediate Phase offers a comprehensive educational experience for your child.
Our team of seven dedicated teachers provide a nurturing environment where your child can learn and grow.
We offer a wide range of sports including cricket, soccer, netball, hockey, and baseball, as well as a coding club and homework support for extracurricular activities.
Additionally, we offer extra classes in Math, English, Coding and Afrikaans, ensuring your child has all the tools they need to succeed.
The Senior Phase
Grades 7 to 9
Our grade 7 to 9 program is designed to prepare our students for the ever-changing future ahead of them.
With bilingual education, computer and coding classes and exciting outings that provide a glimpse into the working world, we provide a well-rounded and dynamic educational experience.

At New Garden School, safety and security is our top priority. Our campus features state-of-the-art security measures including a 24-hour surveillance system and access controlled gates and parking.

Building Design and Fire Systems
The school's building design and fire systems are top-notch, ensuring that everyone is protected in case of an emergency. Fire extinguishers are readily available throughout the premises, and regular fire safety training is conducted to ensure that everyone knows what to do in case of a fire.

Trained Teachers and Staff
Our staff have been specially trained to identify and respond to dangerous situations and we conduct regular fire-safety drills to ensure preparedness in any emergency situation.

Responsible and Vigilant Students
At our school, we take health and safety seriously. That's why we've trained several student prefects to assist in the event of an emergency fire. You can rest assured that we're doing everything we can to keep our students safe and secure.
